Laser Treatments

Laser therapy low power, non thermal laser light has been used for over thirty years to aid the natural healing process of the body safely and effectively. In the medical field, laser therapy is widely available for treatment of pain, ulcers and musculoskeletal conditions and for non needle acupuncture. Not to be confused with surgical lasers, the therapy cannot burn or harm the skin.

Is It Safe? Can Anyone Have Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy is completely safe. The laser beam does not cut or burn and has no side effects other than the feeling of relaxation. Soft, low Intensity laser beams have been used for over thirty years to treat a wide variety of conditions. Most people can have the therapy although there are standard cautions and contradictions as for any form of electrotherapy equipment.

Safe Effective Treatment For:

  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Scarring
  • Verrucae
  • Tendonitis
  • Heel Pain
  • Ulceration
  • Arthritis

How Does it work?
Particular wavelengths of light stimulate the healing cells of the body. By directly treating the damaged tissue, laser therapy helps the body to heal itself. The same probes used for healing damaged tissue also have a significant effect on pain. Enhanced levels of endorphins, the body’s natural morphine, and the ability to stimulate acupuncture points and pain trigger points without needles provides an excellent tool for the treatment of pain. The mechanisms of the physiological effects of laser therapy have been extensively researched and are well understood. Treatment is quick and easy to apply and effective. Resolution usually occurs within 1 to 6 treatments depending upon the condition.
